Sacred Space

Sacred space is a created space where you can engage in self care, a manifestation practice, journaling or any other form of healing practice.

Why create the space to engage in those practices? Because it shifts the energy of the environment and honors the time that you have carved out for yourself.

We westerner's tend to ignore what has long been held as sacred in other cultures around the world. The act of creating space for yourself can be a piece of what helps that practice become a habit. It brings it more life, adds more juiciness and honors the wise one within.

I am here today to invite you to sprinkle in a little more sacred into your practice. Below are some ways to do this. Start by selecting 2-3 things that feel really warm and inviting. Schedule the time for your practice. Set an intention to notice how it feels to tend the environment around you before you start your practice. Mindfully create the space and after you are all set up, notice how it feels in your body to have created this space for yourself. Then dive into your routine or practice. When you are compete, notice how it feels to close out your space.

These are some of my favorite ways to create sacred space!

  • Light a non-toxic candle

  • diffuse essential oils or light incense

  • Make a cup of tea or cacao

  • use pillows or blankets to create comfort

  • bring in crystals, stones, shells

  • Bring in other items from Mother nature such as live herbs or flowers

  • Use a nice oil to massage your hands or feet before your practice

  • Say a prayer or positive affirmation into your sacred space.
