Let's talk about personal power!!
Learning how to hold your personal power is one of the most important life lessons!! Staying in your power will encourage both mental and physical health, it will allow you to be in a state of Flow and have a unwavering sense of self trust. Wow, no brainer right!?! Keep reading for a easy tool to call your power back. First lets look at a few examples of how we give our power away
Saying yes when you mean no
Not speaking your truth
Letting others make decisions for you
Being in a relationship where you are constantly avoiding conflict
Bending over backwards to please others
Shrinking away from the spotlight that is yours
Any time you feel deflated after an interaction with someone
SO Many more examples
Holding your power is not about arrogance, being right, or even having to prove yourself to anyone else. It's about knowing yourself so well that other's opinions or persuasions don't impact you. It is deep alignment with YOUR truth.
I've recently described my Energetic Coaching work, as teaching clients how to hold the frequency they elevate to during a healing session for longer periods of time. Asking the question, "How can you keep this good (empowered) feeling going for longer and longer." We live in a world of constant push and pull and contrast, so perfection isn't the goal I am suggesting. What I do suggest is the ritual I describe below and beginning to notice without judgement when you step out of your power. Taking full ownership of that choice and then considering how you might chose differently in the future.
That is radical self responsibility and personal power!!!
Below is a very simple ritual that you can try out during your meditation, breath work or time you spend in contemplation.
create sacred space
Take a few deep breaths to ground into your body
place your hand over your heart and close your eyes
Repeat the mantra "I call my power back from all times and all places,
I am my own."
You are your own. How beautiful is that.
